SLMOSF is a MO. 501 (c)(3) non profit organization. Donations are tax deductable under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code.
Our Goals:
To maintain supplies necessary to continue basic to advanced marksmanship and tactics including ammunition, firearms and force on force training capability.
Increase the availability of our program to non-commissioned officers who have a combat Military Occupational Specialty.
To invite professional speakers in the areas of military leadership, combat experience and the psychological aspects of war.
To maintain the network that ships care packages to our officers while deployed.
To stay current with equipment used by those in the field.
To expand our training to include small man-powered boat handling skills with the purchase of one or more 8-man inflatable Zodiac RIB boats.
To purchase or lease grounds to be used for non-shooting military training (obstacle course, small unit tactics, land navigation, etc)
To assure that we are never forced to turn someone away for lack of resources (we more than doubled in pre academy & ROTC trainees in 2011 to 40+ individuals).
We anticipate that our 2012 mission will require a minimum of $45,000 to continue our current level of training (which does not include boat handling or land for training). To meet all of our goals of expanded training will require additional funding.
